A Lebanon man has been charged with several crimes, including dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities and criminal solicitation to violate the firearms act, after police said he paid acquaintances in cash and drugs to buy as many as twelve guns for him. “Hector Espada-Jimenez, 26, of the unit block of South Ninth Street, used two different men to make straw purchases of firearms between March 5, 2013, and April 14, 2013,” stated a Lebanon County District Attorney’s Office news release issued Friday.

Investigators discovered two of the twelve illegally purchased firearms while looking into unrelated crimes in Philadelphia and New York. Espada-Jimenez was ordered held in Lebanon County Prison on $300,000 bail.
