Three dozen of Marcus’s family, friends, and supporters were in chambers for the proclamation, including CeaseFirePA’s staffers Rob Conroy and Shanon Williams. Of the efforts to help his loved ones, Williams said, “We’ve been meeting every week on Tuesday. We’ve been rallying every other Saturday in different neighborhoods, to let people know we didn’t forget about Marcus. His life is not going to be forgotten, and he is not going to be gone in vain.”

Nine months after Marcus was killed, no arrests have yet been made.
